Doğuş Construction and the Akimat of South Kazakhstan Region signed Memorandum of Cooperation in order to provide potable water from Ugam River to Saryagash, Maktaaral and Kazygurt.

Doğuş Construction signed Memorandum of Cooperation with the Akimat of South Kazakhstan Region for the project that involves the construction of hydroelectric power station and water pipeline which will provide potable water of high quality to more than 700 thousand residents living in 400 villages of Saryagash, Maktaaral and Kazygurt from Ugam River which derives from South Kazakhstan Region and passes partially through the territory of Uzbekistan.

According to the agreement that was signed between the First Deputy of Akim of South Kazakhstan Region, Darkhan Satybaldy and CIS Countries Coordinator of Doğuş Construction at the ceremony that was held in Shimkent on August 15, 2017; a hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 51.7 MW will be constructed besides to the water pipeline with a capacity of 3-3.5 m³/sec of potable water supply to three districts.

Technical, financial and design documentation will be prepared once the team commissioned by Doğuş Construction specifies the concept and the strategy for the project.
