Mumbai Metro Line Achieves Its First Breakthrough

Mumbai Metro Line III, Section UGC-03 project achieves its first breakthrough at Worli Station in presence of Doğuş Construction General Manager Tolga Akkaş, COO Ertan Yapıcı, India Tourism and Environment Minister Maharastra Aditya Thackeray, Soma Enterprise officials and employer MMRCL managers.

The Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Tansa-1 entered ground from Science Museum on September 27, 2018 and after 490 days, it has finished the tunneling work of 2,072 meters in Worli station.

The construction of 5 stations between Mumbai Train Station and Worli at a total length of 5.055 meters and 3.550 meters long double tunnel including electromechanical works is being performed by Doğuş Construction-Soma Joint Venture. The project is estimated to be completed by the end of 2022.
