The opening ceremony of “Mavi Tünel Potable Water Treatment Plants and Transmission Pipeline” Project whose contract was signed on June 19, 2013 and commenced on July 3, 2013, took place with a keynote speech delivered by the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on June 2, 2018. The Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs Veysel Eroğlu, the Chairman of Doğuş Construction Gönül Talu, the Vice Chairman and CEO of Doğuş Construction Burak Talu, Senior Management of Doğuş Construction and Members of the Parliament also attended this ceremony.

With a water treatment capacity of 366.850 m³/day and 100.000.000 m³/year, this project will meet potable, utility and industrial water requirement of approximately 3 million people in İçeri Çumra Town, Çumra District, Konya Province Center until 2045.
